We met a French artist Dino who drew my picture and gave it to me in exchange for a portrait I took of him. He studied fashion and turned into a character portrait artist and is just such a personality in himself. So much fun.
My sister and I also got our portraits (seriously) done by a great artist in the centre of Montmartre. A lot of artists gather there where the tourists visit and hassle you to draw you/give you a good deal etc etc. The man we chose didn't do charcoal/pencil sketches and as incredible as all the artists there are, he did watercolour minimalistic almost fashion like sketches/paintings. He didn't push you to go to him to have your portrait done and gave us a good deal. He ended up telling me about his life including his art history of studying for 7 years and his family. So much inspiration in the art scene of Paris.
We are in London now and staying with some friends. Having a great time and will post pictures soon!
